Chriss Berk, MA, ATR-BC, LPC, LCAT received her Masters in Art Therapy from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, PA. For the past 10 years she has worked to promote and unite the field of Creative Arts Therapy by hosting The Arts in Therapy Network, an international community of over 3,300 members. Chriss is also the Founder/CEO of The Arts We Need, Inc., a not-for-profit organization providing Creative Arts Therapy to people with special needs. She serves as President for the New York Art Therapy Association (NYATA) and President for the New York Coalition of Creative Arts Therapies (NYCCAT).
Chriss works in private practice in New York City and Bridgeport, Pennsylvania as an integrative practitioner of Art Psychotherapy, Ericksonian Hypnosis, Reiki, and Herbology. She provides career consultation and clinical supervision to Creative Arts Therapists and Art Therapy students and consults with various organizations on creativity development, workplace wellness, sports psychology, recovery from trauma, childhood development and family guidance.
Chriss lives in New York City and is mom to her zoo crew, dogs Lily & Maddy and cats Tassie, Tobi & Freddy.
